Must Have FastPass Attractions in Each Park

The FastPass system was first introduced in late 1999 and made it easier for guests in Walt Disney World to ride their favorite attractions without having to wait in ridiculously long lines. While FastPasses are available for almost all of the Disney World rides and shows, there are some attractions more worth the FastPass than others.

Today we go through our picks for the Must Have FastPass attraction in each park!

Animal Kingdom
Avatar: Flight of Passage

Seeing as this attraction has only been open since May of this year, it is no surprise that the wait time can be extremely long. On opening day the wait time peaked at 250 minutes, and even today, three months after opening, the line is still usually somewhere around 2 hours. Not only is the ride brand new, but it was also an instant hit with Disney goers. Many guests describe the ride as “actually flying” and it has easily become a fan favorite. So if you're thinking of heading to Pandora, definitely make sure to have your FastPasses set for this attraction!

Hollywood Studios
Toy Story Midway Mania

Though the ride opened back in 2008, it remains one of the most popular rides not only in Hollywood Studios, but in all of Walt Disney World. The 3D ride, similar to Buzz Lightyear in Magic Kingdom, has riders shoot paint balls, darts, etc. at various different objects to earn points. Both adults and children alike enjoy the attraction, which is probably why it remains so popular today. During slower times, the wait can still be upwards of an hour, and during the busy seasons it can usually hit 2 or more. While in Hollywood Studios I would recommend Toy Story Mania to be a top FastPass choice, but act fast because they tend to go quickly!

Frozen Ever After

One of the newest attractions to Walt Disney World is Frozen Ever After, which replaced Maelstrom in the Norway pavilion in 2016. After the Frozen craze of 2013-2014, it only made sense for Disney to add in an attraction themed to the movie, and to no one's surprise it was a huge hit. Guests were waiting nearly 4 hours to ride the attraction when it first opened in June of 2016, and to this day the lines are still somewhere around 90-120 minutes depending on how crowded the park is. If you're in Epcot and looking for a visit with Olaf and a peak at Elsa’s castle, add Frozen Ever After to your FastPass list!

Magic Kingdom
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

When the new Fantasyland was completed in 2014, it brought with it the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Similar to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland, it is a steel coaster that travels both indoors and outdoors and is fun for the whole family - but this time with tilting cars! Since opening day the wait times have remained between 90-120 minutes for the most part (again, depending on how crowded the park is), and it is one of the most crowded rides in the park at all times. It is still a fairly new attraction and so the popularity of it will not likely die down anytime soon. It is an attraction you should be sure to hit while in Magic Kingdom but a FastPass is a must!
